A Tidy Ending —- Wednesday, August 21, 2019

(From Pinterest)

After lunch, yesterday, in the sun-drenched skies and with the heat making our skins shiny and bright

We loaded up a trailer full of metal to take to Montrose to Rec-Cla Metals to be recycled.

I know I’m sorta, kinda, on the weird side, but I love watching those massive machines; it’s so satisfying seeing them work.

The operators as quick and graceful as ballet dancers, filling the area with numerous hunks of metal— like a constellation falling, scattering on the earth—-

Only in a tidy ending. 🙂

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

Linda

  1. I don’t think you are weird. My sister gets all excited to go the dump and watch the bulldozers push all the garbage into a tiny lump. The recycling center is there too so we make lots of trips including hazardous waste like paint. Tidying up feels good.
