We Have Been Ever so Dry—-Thursday, September 12, 2019

The wind kicks up the dust something fierce

And a quick ride down the farm roads always leave a rush of dust behind

But, the last few days have brought us rain clouds

And the beauty of a bright wonderous rainbow

Glinting in the sky!

What wonderful joy to see…Rainbows in the sky.Β  (Although, right here on our farm, we didn’t get any rain—but’s that’s okay we did get see Rainbows anyway)!

Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

  1. Oh, the dust! I know how you feel; we’ve had a pall of dust and smoke lying over the countryside as far as the eye can see – which currently isn’t very far at all. The air quality is terrible and you can almost taste it. The forecasters say no rain for at least another 7 days…

  2. It refuses to rain in Australia and fires are raging some out of control in many parts of northern NSW and southern Qld.The fire season has come very early this year – oh for some rain!
It is just terrible to see on TV……..one has to admire the stamina of the fire fighters and the volunteers.
And some leaders refuse to admit that climate change is happening – don’t they watch the ice flows breaking off from Arctic, Greenland and the South Pole land masses????????????? .
