The Adventures of Boomer on Friday—- April 3, 2020

I’ve been laid up some.

My horrible old injury came back…the one where I blew out my knee.

I can still get about, I just carry my left back leg.

My right back leg works just fine

I can go for short walks with Mom.  Or she will put me in that contraption you saw in the first two photos.

If I’m really careful I can kinda put some weight on it, but not for very long

Mom watches after me very gravely; taking my old age seriously and my bad knee into consideration IF I get to go with her.

Mom says it’s Her and Me (and Dad and Mindy) against the world.

That works for me!

  5. Is it time for something more than aspirin? Animals hide their pain as any disability in the wild makes them vulnerable. One of our kitties had arthritis very badly. After much struggle and soul searching, the vet and I decided she should have plenty of anything that helped. We were afraid about side affects and possibly shortening her life with drugs and treatments.. It was a hard decision to make, but we decided her comfort and quality of life were most important! I think it did shorten her life a bit, but she was so happy and comfortable. Looking back I’m soooo glad we opted for quality of life. It’s hard to make a good decision when your baby is in pain. You are all in our prayers as you struggle with this.
