It looks as if the weather cooperated and you were able to get this cutting in without any problems. I love the smell of fresh-cut alfalfa.

Me too. Yes, thankfully, no rain, the right amount of drying wind and dew to make bales. Then no rain to get it put up. But we did have more wind.

Hi Linda, What do you use to tie the hay bales with? Some use wire and some twine. Hope all good with you. Wheat harvest is going strong here in south central Kansas. Thank you. Sharon Drake

We tie with twine. It’s orange. I love using twine for all sorts of things around the farm. Gosh, Wheat Harvest summer is coming on strong.

It has a fresh green smell. It’s a huge delight.

Yes…we like to have each cutting sold and gone before the next cutting so nothing is held over winter.
