My inner-clock runs on the time
Of Spring, Summer, and Fall
A sort of energy level to match those three seasons…
Winter seems to last FOREVER and
goes on and on…a season as long as
Those three added together.
Like one great big long continuous season.
Because of that looming frozen time, I try to make the most of this one
Spending as many moments as possible enjoying the riot of color
And the fact I can still wear flip-flops without socks! π
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,

I hope that snow wasn’t recent, I’m not ready!! I for some reason am really dreading this winter! I love the snow’s beauty and peace but my body can’t take the cold and cloudy days. Fall is beautiful here and my yard is golden, orange and red from the falling maple leaves but I know the cold, wet, windy winter is just around the corner!! Your photos are lovely!! Give Boomer a hug from me in Virginia!! Rita

I’m not ready either. It seems to be a really sad fall for me this year. The whole COVID thing, the election, and Boomer’s life fading away on a daily bases. Sure is a hard time for me. Thanks for writing Rita. It’s nice to hear from you.

I’m so sorry, Mama Linda. COVID sucks, the election nonsense sucks and little Boomie breaks my heart. I wish I could hug you.

I wish you could hug me also. Sigh. But today, KNOCK ON WOOD Boomer has responded to his medication and is doing better. He worked along side me all afternoon. We enjoyed the sun and he smiled the whole time. It was a gift!!!

I think it’s been an extraordinarily difficult year. I try to comfort myself that my parents and grandparents had almost all these same issues, and they survived without electricity and running water.
So sorry that Boomer is fading. That makes everything so much more difficult.
Prayers, Hugs, Courage.
Katie
PS Love your pictures and captions. Very comforting and delightful How do you do it when you are so burdened! Thanks!

Today Boomer had an outstanding day. He worked outside (all on his own) with me all afternoon. He just came in, all smile and wore out. YAY
