I begged.
I whined.
I raced out the door.
Until Mom and Dad said I could go outside!
YAY!
So out I went. It lasted for three days. Then I pounced on a stray cat someone dropped off.
No, the stray cat wasn’t Mindy. We touch noses lots. And if I get too pouncy Mindy TELLS me to knock it off. She never BITES me!
(To tell the truth, I just wanted to play. I understand differently now.)
That stray cat bit my leg…bad. It swelled up and up and up. I wouldn’t let Mom touch it to see what was going on, If Mom tried to I bit MOM!
So, Off We Went to the Vets.
Yep…money, money, money later…I came home with a chicken leg instead of a cat leg. And guess what!
I have to stay inside until the scab falls off!
Sigh!
But – don’t let it fool you—I AM going BACK outside. And THAT is THAT!
TLC Cai-Cai
OMG, poor baby! What a terrible experience for you. Hope you get well soon so you can go back outside in this beautiful summer weather. What happened to the stray cat?

We don’t know. Terry has a trap out there so we can get to the shelter, but nothing yet.

Oh NO! Meow! TLC, how awful! Meow! I’m so sorry. Meow. And, to think that my fleas (that I’ve never had before) are the worst thing I’ve ever had. Meow. They do make me crazy, tho…Meow.

Yikes. That looks bad. I hope you didn’t need stitches after the bite, Momma. What happened to the stray cat?

Cai kitty, you don’t want to hear it, but you need to stay inside. Too many hazards outside. Vets are costly. And you’d be safer. Heal well, little guy ~
You’ve also got some apologizing to do.. .

I do? For the mad look…well, Mom wanted me to come in the house. 😦

We think it was dumped. We want to try to get it to a shelter before the fox or coyote have lunch.

Thank goodness! I took in a stray that had feline leukemia. He was the sweetest thing, but his life was shorter than we wished. I’m glad Cai-Cai didn’t get exposed. ♥️

We took in the stray and kept him separated in a suite with my youngest child for the cat’s final 2 years. He was a wonderful cat and his presence was a gift to us. We still miss him. Yes, it is hard.

Sorry about your Baby. The heat here in South central Kansas, south of Wichita, ks. been in 100’s this week but that is Kansas. Wheat harvest going. The heat helps the cutting wheat. It may be a very good time for harvest. had a lot of rain ,but now the heat is best for a successful harvest. The wind is blowing and that helps with the heat. Be careful in heat. Sharon Drake

OMGoodness, CC. Your poor little leg. In my experience, outside is nice, but only if you stay right by your mom. Be careful out there, sweet friend.
