“Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.” — Etty Hillesum
We’ve reached a place in life where farming the whole farm, maintaining the whole farm, the farm equipment, the buildings and stuff around the house is a tad too much.
Our neighbor, Sam, was looking for more land
a Win-Win for all of us.
Half the farm ground for Sam, the other half we will farm!
🙂 Big Smiles all around!

I am glad for you! I know just how hard you guys work, and I know you enjoy it – but you need some fun time too. Some car club drives, maybe trips up on the Mesa, maybe a bbq with friends in say… June. Lov ya!

Me too. The work load was just cut in half. And the rent money helps with the taxes and the water.

Sounds like a great idea, Linda. Hope it works out well for all of you!

I’m sure it will. Sam is a long-time farmer and understands farming. He was looking to rent more land so it worked out for both of us. 🙂

Did Sam purchase land from you or is he just farming it for you?
I love that quote.

He is renting 1/2 the farm.

Yes! This is such a nice win for all of us. A good renter is hard to come by and he is a good renter.

Yeah for a good renter! It will make things much easier for you!
