Life on a Colorado Farm 
You got snow. It has been SO cold here. We have been stuck in the 20s & teens for days. Every faucet is on drip and we have been getting text notices from Duke Power on power grid strain. We are getting the “shut off unnecessary power drains” messages. We aren’t normally this cold in December…particularly without any form of precip. That nationwide cold front has been brutal. We get some really cold weather in Jan. & Feb., but this cold snap has been a record breaker around here.

Ma used to say about snow: “The world has tucked itself up under warm white feathers”. Such a pretty image for snow, but much warmer than the reality! I miss the look of snow, but not the reality…
