Just Call Me Mellow Yellow.

Mom keeps singing whenever she picks me up.

(I don’t like to be picked up)

Then Mom gives me a kiss RIGHT ON MY NOSE and sets me down

I don’t scratch her or bite her.  Nope. But I do squirm

I still sleep right next to Dad at night.  Dad is soooooo nice and warm.

I play with TLC.  We even hunt together sometimes.

I have also told the wild cat, Black Satin, that Mom is good.

Black Satin is coming closer and closer to Mom.  Then she runs away if Mom looks at her too long.

Boo Berry does NOT understand Play.

Not with me.

Not with toys.

Nothing.

But that’s okay.

Just call me Mellow Yellow, tee dum tee dum

    Charlee: “I love being smooched! But I don’t like to be picked up and carried. I will tolerate being held a little but if you try to carry me someplace you will find out how good I am at wriggling and escaping.”

    Oona: “Oona does not mind being picked up or being smooched. BUT IF YOU HOLD HER ONE SECOND TOO LONG YOU WILL LEARN WHY ONE OF HER NICKNAMES IS ‘MONSTER’.”

    Java Bean: “Ayyy, you cats are so weird.”
