Summer is Flying By —- Thursday, August 18, 2022

May be an image of text that says 'I feel like a time traveler: June, July, August. Summer dissolves in my mouth and I can't remember what it tasted like. Zoe Lianne Poy&veryotion Every amotion'

O! How fast it seems

This is a butterfly–their lives go ever so quickly—so who am I to complain?

Ah…true. Not complaining–

Just a tad sad at the quickness of the passing of my favorite time of year

(Although, I must admit the over-the-top heat has just about ‘dun me in)

The earth is so hot when you are on the ground

The heat hits you in the face!

Still, I would prefer Summer to stay

A little while longer.

(Just a tad bit cooler)

For late Summer to linger

Then late Autumn to linger until Thanksgiving.

Giving all of us more days of

That slow, easy feeling — Summer brings to our souls.

I’ll Bet You Can’t Guess What We’ve Been Doing —- Wednesday, August 17, 2022

Yep! Second Cutting

Of the third field.

Sometimes in September, we will start all over for the third time, then the haying season will be done.

The Adventures of TLC Cai-Cai and Boo Berry —SCATTER— Chapter Three, Friday, August 12, 2022

I get this “Scatter” thing, Boo Berry Betty.  I always scatter when there is a HUGE BIG MOTOR somewhere close.

I mean like RUUUUUUUUUUUUN!  Is the word.

And RUN to the house is the answer.

Hiding in the house is the only way to go.

BUT—

Sometimes in the house—

MOM does the unthinkable!!!

SHE VACUUMS!!!

When that happens you and I have to

SCATTER!!!

One more field to cut, bale, stack, sell—

(We get three cutting per field a year)

In the middle of the haying now.

Be Grateful for the Sunlight — Wednesday, August 10, 2022

Always grateful.

For sunlight gives to us the beauty of our land

In such a way

Not only our hearts can feel the gift

The sunlight becomes tactile filling our souls and our consciousness.

From my Heart to your Heart,

Linda

Not So Long Ago — Tuesday, August 9, 2022

“Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable”–Mary Oliver

Not so long ago–we were enjoying days that lasted long, long, long

And now our days are shortening—

heading us closer to that time of little daylight

But for, right now, in August—we are experiencing heat! Oh, how I love Summer,

But, for the first time EVER!

The heat is doing me in.

Sigh!
