Sometimes I Just HAVE’TA — Wednesday, October 22, 2025

Go on a walk.  Among the sighing of the drying corn, the rustling of the (Thankfully) dying weeds

To touch the earth with my feet.

Boo Berry and I, and sometimes,

but not always TLC.

Sometimes Terry goes with us.  Not often, he is usually busy, but still sometimes.

We go many places here and there upon the farm.  No work in mind, just being one with the earth.

I always take my camera—and I always look for kisses [hearts] from the earth.  Because they are there. We just have to look.

Raining or not, we go.  I just need to feel the earth, the sky, the air, be blessed by the sun, the moon, or the rain.

Sometimes—I have to go outside.

FIGHT!!!!! —- Tuesday, October 21, 2025

I decided to set up a game camera to see who or what is clacking around by the haystack yard.

Boys!

Yep.

Oh!

WOW!  Three — it’s a brawl!

Whew!  I have no idea who won.

Off We Went Again — Monday, October 20, 2025

I love seeing these big machines work.

Isn’t the amount of metal trash stunning?

In the Sweet Light of Autumn — Sunday, October 19, 2025

Even those dastardly weeds look beautiful

And the flickering light upon the birdbath with the scattering of leaves–divine

Autumn is a promise of beauty in every angle, upon every vista, with that dread of solemn

Winter loaming just over there–just a wee bit closer, just on the rim waiting.

Passing Through, —Thursday, October 16, 2025

Red-winged Blackbirds Singing in the Cottonwood Trees

I love how they stopped by for a last little song

Singing a song for all of us

In a Few Days Time (or less), — Wednesday, October 15, 2025

OH!  Is that a rainbow?

Not a rainbow, but a

But an extremely bright Sundog!  Stunningly beautiful, shining brightly there in the sky.

A sign of cold(er) weather to descend upon us.

Gosh, I think that is the brightest sundog I, personally, have ever seen!

Corn Report!!!! —-Sunday, October 12, 2025

The corn is drying down nicely now.  The stalks have lost most of their green, and the ears are hanging down.

Maybe sometime before Thanksgiving, we will be harvesting corn.  It just depends.

The moisture content must be at the level that Foster Farms will accept.  When we hit that—we are good to go!
