The World is Tipping — Tuesday, March 11, 2025

I can tell by the sun.  It’s moving closer and closer toward the Summer Equinox slot on the Uncompahgre Plateau.

And the Big Birds!  I can tell by them we are leaning toward Spring now (in just a few few days).  They are in a hurry to get North.  To the breeding grounds and cooler weather.

Once we reach ‘just the right spot,’ the tipping will stop. We will rebalance and settle back into the Groove.

YAY!

On a Very Windy Day—- Monday, March 11, 2024

We went for a ride, listened to the music of the motor and tires, and hummed along with them.

The Adventures of TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—Farm Life Series, Chapter 17, The Fourth Season, HARVEST, Friday, March 11, 2022

Fall is Harvest!

Harvest is Autumn!

This is the time of year when HUGE! GIANT! Machines come out and roar and rumble on the farm.

Scares me to death!

I run to the house and stay INSIDE!

While in the house I look out the windows at those scary machines.

When they aren’t there…whew!  Life is good again.

But…here is the thing…Dad even brings that HUGE scary machine into the yard and works on it at the shop.

That machine is FRIGHTENING!

Well, that is all I know about Harvest.  It is all I know about the seasons and weather and stuff like that.

I think the next thing I will tell you about is the wildlife that lives with me, Mom, and Dad on the farm.

Maybe you will enjoy learning about coyotes, porcupines, rabbits, snakes, badgers, weasels, owls, squirrels…you get the picture.

All the animals that live with us on the farm.

Pent-Up Energy, the Earth, the Sky, and Terry — Thursday, March 11, 2021

The wind is a tad messy right now.  🙂

But the earth is ready

And so is Terry.

Although, the wind is bringing in storm clouds

And it is rather cold.

Farming…no matter what. Once it starts, it continues on!

Day Four — Pulling the Pipe Through — Wednesday, March 11, 2020

Today it was just Terry and Richard.  No extra help.

They first had to attach the huge water boring machine head to the black pipe

I was to go to the corrals and make sure something didn’t go wrong. Richard ran the boring machine

gradually, gradually bringing the black pipe through the corrals, under the road, under the lawn to the fence line where the blue pipe will be attached to the black pipe.

Terry stayed at the entrance to make sure everything went smooth there

It took a long amount of slow steady pulling, but the end finally made it into the goat corral!  Yay!

FINISHED!  The pipe was through!

I looked up and Terry was waving to Richard to stop!  Then Terry was moving quickly to the water meter box.

The pipe had hit the waterline!

Stay tuned for the water line repair!

See you tomorrow!

The Mist and Rain has Closed Us In —– Monday, March 11, 2019

Although the mist makes the air seem soft

And the light on the rain clouds make the dawn special

Last evening, as the sun set through the rain clouds I had to marvel….there it was — a perfect rainstorm occurring on the Uncompahgre Plateau, shimmering and glistening for all to see!
