What is Unique and Necessary About Winter, Monday, January 29, 2025

Winter is a tad fragile—-even though it doesn’t seem so.

Spring, Summer, and Autumn all depend on Winter and winter’s gift of snow/water and terribly cold and freezing temperatures.

Water—Winter’s Gift to all of us.

This Year Promise Me Something, Tuesday, January 2, 2024

This year promise me something—as I will promise back to you

Stop often and many times throughout your day to just see,

feel, and hear all those marvelous joys around us

Rejoice at the sight of our winged neighbors

Walk in the sunshine

Give thanks at the end of the day

Be still and feel the Earth and all those marvelous creatures: plants, animals, and soil. Then feel the sky: the sun, the moon, all those marvelous stars, not to forget the clouds, the wind, and storms.

After all, once we connect to those marvelous things, we connect with each other, the heavens, and those who reside there!

Be well, enjoy, and know my heart is with you.

Linda

Sunday and Monday a Big Wind Blew — Tuesday, March 7, 2023

Melting most of the big snow drifts!

OH! YAY!

But the weather people are saying another Snow Storm is due in here Thursday!

Melt and warmer temps and even a drying wind is a good sign of Spring.

A Rainbow Gift from the Ocean (and Our Kids :) ), Monday, January 23, 2023

Cliff and Kimberly left an ocean cruise where they came across

A most unique and rare gift fro the water and sky

A marvelous rainbow

They sent it to me for my birthday!

How very blessed I am!

Thank you, Kids, (with the Myers)  what a great present this was!

From my world to your heart,

Linda

Weather—and the Hay is Down, Monday, October 3, 2022

Wet cat

“It’s wet out there Mom!”

“Yes, Mom, WET!!!”

Sigh!

We just needed a couple more days of drying to get the hay in.

Farming.  Always a risk, where the weather is concerned.

That Story, the Old, Old Story, Monday, January 24, 2022

Here is a wee walk-about

Showing to you, that old, old story,

Of the silence, which is really not silent

of the beauty of our each and every day.

That sense of timelessness

Of marvelous and easy grace

Casting a tiny spell of contentment

A sense of wonder

Of daily life on our farm.

🙂

From my world to your heart,

Linda

Water—The Voice of the Land, Monday, November 8, 2021

It’s that time of year (again) when all the canals are turned off

Allowing the reservoirs and lakes to start filling again

It’s a lovely but (for me) a tad sad

For that means winter is looming

Still, I gather at the fences and allow the joyful tinkling of the life-giving water

Lifting  the energy of my mind,

my spirit and soul.

A marvelous sensation, akin to the beating of God(s) heart!
