I’m going to post some photos of the huge amount of hummers we have now…at least 40 visit the feeders all day long.
We have the Black-chinned Hummingbird, the Broad-tailed Hummers, Ruby-Throat, Rufous so far!
I’ve tried to get a photo of all of them at once, but it is proving futile.
But still I try
they always give me a good feeling of…well…
Off to water my plants before the heat sucks us down to nothing. It’s supposed to be 101* today.
Linda

Your beautiful hummers and your rainbow gave me cold chills, they are so very beautiful…..

I’m envious — we’re lucky to have more than two or three at any time. You must be treating them right. I hope you get a break from the heat.

Inspired by you I bought a hummingbird feeder. It’s well out of the reach of the cat and Timmy, “the jaws of death” so I hope we have some diners soon.

Good Hummers! You have my sympathy on the heat! Close to 100 yesterday. But your hay should dry well!

I had no idea so many hummers would congregate in one place. How cool!! I am glad you got your rainbow yesterday.

Good shots on the hummers. I think I have really dumb ones. They go right by the feeder and buzz the kitchen window! But, I still try to get them to LOOK!

Great group of hummers, Linda… We have a few around here, but not too many. I have 3 feeders out for them… Beautiful Rainbow of HOPE.

What a great assortment of hummers you have out west. We have only Ruby-throats east of the Mississippi, except for a straggling Rufous sighting shared from time to time.

I really like your hummers. We don’t have many here. I see them in Sept but not in the summer.
