January 10th we had rain!
Moisture falling from a pale gray sky
Beautiful and wet!
We took the day off and went to Grand Junction, where we learned they also were experiencing this wonderful phenomenon…Moisture!
YAY!

I’m glad to hear that your part of the world is getting some rain. I hope you enjoyed your day off.

It was just one day, but it did make a tiny amount of mud…so it soaked it some.

Wow! Nobody around here ever gets so excited about some rain…God knows we have moisture to spare. Just this morning, our raging river that flows alongside our driveway was racing into our ditch beside the road where an angry, rushing creek had formed. Lakes in our backyard and pasture too. Horses will stay in again today. Happy for you though! Mud is not our friend.

I’m not a friend of mud either 😦 And that kind of moisture is too much. We need more you need less

YES! Too much of anything is just tooo much! We have lovely sunshine today…it has dried up all the rain. BUT there is snow in the mountains and THAT is a good thing!

Yay! Beautiful, beautiful rain! Hope you got a nice amount. Not seen measurable moisture here since August! In severe drought, again. Hope your rains keep coming.
Blessings!

It just dampened the soil, but it did clear up the air, which was nice.

ah, gloomy ol’ U S 50 … like yourselves, I can gauge inversion-effect/ clarity/clear skies by if I can see the San Juans or not. Now it’s clear again, for a while. If this “dry” keeps up, darn, I might get the hose out and water trees, plants, etc. in a week or so !

I know it’s terrible. The Gov is even starting to make noisy talk that the ranchers aren’t going to be allowed on FS land if this terrible dry keeps up
