I am gradually (very gradually) getting up to speed on my new computer, the Windows 10 application, my new office suite, and the new Adobe Photoshop.
I haven’t figured out how to download apps yet, or get rid of all those insane games that came with the computer, but maybe soon I will.
Raj,the very friendly man at the Canyon Convenience store, gave to Terry and I a box of tasty sweets he ordered from an on-line company specializing in treats from India.
I finally finished up my latest project..I want to find something else to do—not liking the stash I have in my drawer. But keeping to the thought I need to finish all those ‘not liked very much projects’ needs to be accomplished or it will be a waste of money.
Then last night, neither Terry or I couldn’t sleep…the clash and rustle, the murmur and noise of our brains not letting our minds escape into solitude and silence
Boomer is with us…he just travels in bursts of speed…sniffing here and there and then running quickly to catch up and pass us.
Standing in the light of the growing moon, we talked and walked our way back to sleep
And the beginning of a new day.
I hope each one of you have a good one!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda

You had a beautiful moon for your night-time walk. I hope you soon master your new computer.

Sure is a learning curve. What I really need is time to really look it over and use it. That would help….time!

Oh yes, the rattle and clatter of a brain that won’t shut down, I know that one – and it always seems to happen when I MUST get to sleep because I have to get up again in 4 hours’ time. Sometimes it’s just too much to lie there getting increasingly desperate… I think you have the right idea, some mild exercise, cool the body and brain in the night air and then bring them back into the warm and put them to bed again.

It does seem to work….Terry will stay up and play games on his I Pad, I have him walking with me now— a cool down and a break!

Sometimes it’s wise to give up on projects you don’t really want to do. They just drag at you and reproach you for the time and money wasted. They take away from things that will give you joy. I donated several projects to a charity group, the local quilt and appliqué and craft ladies. They were thrilled to get them, and they shared the completed projects with more ladies. It was a winner all ’round. Now I’m free to pursue things I do want to do , and I have contributed to the joy of others. My money and time were well spent for several people.

Finished or not, projects are never a waste of money as long as you have fun while you work on them.

I think that is the problem, I’ve lost interest so it’s a slog to do them. 😦

Maybe you could donate those projects you’re not thrilled with to a seniors residence or a girl scout troop or something. I stopped forcing myself to do projects that don’t make me happy.

There should be a place where unfinished projects come to die

I’m like you trying to wrap up old projects/kits/things hanging around and have been hanging around for years. Some I have lost so much interest in…..:(

I very seldom get to see the moon in winter months. So far no luck but hopefully soon. As for unfinished projects, I’m with Kate, donate. So much has gone when I realize my heart just isn’t in it anymore and once I fully realized my days are numbered, why waste them on things that bring me no joy. You found a great solution to brain overload at night. Since I can’t walk outside at night here, I have found that writing in my journal helps me offload what’s in my brain making so much noise. Not for everyone but I would go for a walk if I could. I think it’s wonderful.

I sometimes get up and write things down too. It does help.
