While over at the other hay stack yard and implement yard, I saw
This darling little squirrel, gently sunning him/herself on a bare branch of a Tamarisk Tree–Salt Cedar is the common name.
Carefully Boomer and I left the area…allowing him/her the right to a bit of sunshine and a wee rest in the Spring-time air.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
So sweet. Have a wonderfilled day.

Tamarisk is supposed to be such an invasive weed, but it is remarkably rare here. I have only seen a few. They tend to dominate the spot in which they grew, but they really do not seem to be invasive beyond that.

They are very invasive along river fronts, but we only have two bushes and they don’t seem to spread.

I think that they are the shrubbery that grows in the saline soil of Trona, but I can not see it clearly in pictures. Even the good ones look rather bad there.
