Finally, I got this one done. It’s taken me three times. The first time I used a color to match the Heavenly Blue Morning Glories—what a mess.
The material stretched and wrinkled and bunched.
It was terrible.
Then I used a better more expensive material, which went together nicely —but I didn’t like the width of the blocks.
After taking everything out for the last time, cutting back the strip size I finished.
Now as I’m looking at it I can see FLAWS!
Shish!
I think I’ll take a break on this for a spell. Maybe for the rest of my life!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
All together, now: Finished is better than perfect! It’s a beautiful piece of handwork, tons of work in it, and no-one else is looking at (or for) mistakes. Relax and enjoy your achievement!

It was one of those things that I really, really liked while stitching, then I couldn’t get the borders right…causing me to learn to NOT like it so much.

You might need to leave it alone for a while, and then find you love it again. So much work, so beautifully done… what’s not to love?

I think you are right. Put it away for a spell….then see how I feel. You are so kind. Thank you.
