Our Car Club had a fun cruise Thursday…
We had to be up at the grey part of the day to get everything done so we could make it to Safeway, where everyone was to meet
Then we were off heading toward Rifle
To enjoy lunch at “Shooters”
After lunch, it was on to Glenwood Springs
For a wee stop. These are the coke oven’s at Red Stone
Soon we were traveling over McClure Pass (we started to run into rain, at this point)
Home, Home again to finish up the days’ chores and to rest our sunburned faces. 🙂
It was ever so much fun!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
I’m glad you were able to find time for a fun day. You went through some beautiful scenery, and I really like your car.
It’s a fun car, but a tad scary on the interstate
Please tell me you were social distancing and wearing a mask. We are having a terrible time here in N. Ca., those are our only defenses. So glad for you to have a good time,
Yes…cars kept us apart and the restaurant kept us apart. all was good.
Love that Vette. What year model is it? Why is it scary on the Interstate?
Rifle. I missed that town in my CO travels in 2002 & 2008. Been to Glenwood Springs…and Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, for that matter.
In one picture, the road looks awful.
1964 stingray hard-top convertible. The motor is original so going 80 m p h is pushing it. and the semi’s make you feel very vulnerable.
Wow. You have quite the collector’s piece right there.
Semis can be extremely intimidating.
And very fast moving other things that don’t want to put up with anyone else on the road.

It is a fun car! 🙂
What fun -a Great Road Trip!
It was. Long, but fun.
Glad to hear that you had a great time … the weather looks lovely.
It was very nice. We ran into rain coming home, but nothing to make things miserable.
