The heat has risen to over 100* for the last few days, 102*, 103*f (37.77c) sometimes with wind; a hot wind, sometimes not. Just hot still air. (I am NOT complaining, for I LOVE SUMMER!)
It’s hard to keep things wet, but so far we are doing okay.
The really bad thing about this weather
Ever!

Morning!
You guys certainly have had your share of 100° days. Way too hot! I am enjoying the 50’s 🙂
Those temps are not a good thing ~ hoping the monsoons head your way.

Awesome sunset shots. The fires aren’t close to you, are they?

No, the next town west of us…about an hour away.

gr8! sunset shots ! you maykit look like ol’ sol is settling into a basket! yeah, the smoke has definitely “lent” a muted/some-sort-of-screen aspect to the dawn light aspect. i was up on the Monument later morning, the column of smoke was quite pronounced, since then the westerly winds are spreading it out. now 6k acres, not much ‘control.’ (i was a forest-fire-fighter when in college and (we were lucky?) but the fires i was on we got under control within a few daze. but in the 70’s the USFS mandate was “total supression” whereas that mindset has been changed …
