Oh, gosh! You are so right. It seems like everything wants to collapse at the same time. But once we get ’em fixed we are good to go for a while.

I posted this before I had to fix a broken pipe in the garden. Luckily, it went better than I expected, but tomorrow is an electrical problem. I wouldn’t be able to afford to live here if I had to call in somebody to fix every little thing that goes wrong. Hint to future homeowners: If you don’t know the difference between a phillips and a regular screwdriver, keep on being a renter.

Tee hee—my washing machine broke, big time—water every where, in the basement, in the bathroom. No parts to be had, because I’ve had it for 26 years. Now I have to go buy something that has a warranty for only 5 years. At least I can buy something. So I need to be grateful

WE have had really good luck with Whirlpool refrig and washer and dryer. We stayed away from all the bells and whistles (that we never use anyway) and went with simple machines. Shopped around and found a pretty good sale at Best Buy. All about 7 years old and going strong. We had the same problem with the washer, too old, couldn’t get parts, so when with a new pair. Gave the dryer to a friend and it is still going strong, might need a new element one day, but those are usually available.

We have an air fryer, just a knob for time, and a knob for temperature. That’s it. Works great, going on it’s 4th year, $29.95 at Best Buy. One of our best purchases. right up there with our two new siamese kitten brothers. They have invigorated us. We are having such a good time with them.
