HEY! BOO! BOO BERRY!!!
YOU CAN NOT CATCH ME, BOO BERRY!
YES! I! CAN!!!!
OVER HERE, Boo!!!
I’m done! There are other things to do besides chase a cat.
I can’t imagine what.
Well, waiting for Mom. That’s better than chasing a cat, any day!
TLC and Boo Berry
Another fire! Not far from the first one!
Smoke fills the rim of our sky and sometimes the whole sky.
Mom says there are other worse fires out there in the world.
What we all need right now is RAIN!
Without lightning and thunder.
Boo Berry and TLC
Yep! Us!
I had sat the game camera down (heading out to the corn field to see if I can photo the deer).
These two wanted in—so I helped them by opening the door! 🙂

That is the fire! Scary isn’t it?
We don’t like the fire. Or the horrible smoke from the fire.
The fire report says it has grown to —-way over 3,000 acres
And still growing.
Scary stuff.

There is a huge fire 12 miles from us—see the smoke haze in the horizon?
It’s sunny, hot, and very windy—not a help for the firefighters
It is a fire on the Uncompahgre Plateau
It’s called the Little Mesa Fire. 60 firefighters plus helicopters to dump water; all trying to contain the fire.
It was started by lightning.
Fire! Is Aways Scary!
Always,

It grew too hot to bale hay—Dad only bales hay when the dew is on the hay.
When he came inside he said, “Let’s go for a ride”.
Mom picked me up and got in the pick-up with Dad; off we went–
to the Uncompahgre Plateau where we saw lots of neat things.
At one point— Mom and Dad and I went for a walk so Mom could get a photo
Of the Lone Cone, way over there by Norwood, Nucla, and Naturita.

(I LOVE my life!)
Apollo in the back, Loki in the front.
It’s taken me a long time to accept other dogs. I can finally do so with these two.

I’ve always liked company—dogs of all types.
(It’s cats I don’t like) TLC
Black Beauty is COOL!!!
(We think we should have some! TLC and Boo Berry)
It is HOT! Mom! HOT!
I NEED IN! MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
Hot isn’t too bad…I can do hot! I just hang in the shade.
What I can’t do is the wind!!!
Hot and WIND! I need in, also!
(We need rain…to settle the dust and to cool us down. It can rain anytime now, but come next week—no, rain—we will be cutting the alfalfa for the second time this year)
