Around the Corner We Go— Tuesday, January 14, 2025

Thankfully I am making excellent progress in the twenty days of pain and sickness.  I can carry a few logs, walk carefully, and actually see results when I look at my ankle, foot, and leg.  YAY!

Today is a masterpiece!  Today I turn 76 and the illness didn’t crush me!

Ideas for 2025—Monday, January 13, 2025

Ideas have flickered in and out of my thoughts for 2025

What would I like to get done this year?  Are there any projects waiting for me to finally finish up?  Do we (Terry and I) want to take a wee trip here and there to see something new and/or different?

Then I go outside and sit on the bench watching the stars and planets spinning quietly in the sky.

And I think—maybe just enjoying the fragrance of each and every night is enough. The beauty of the day is perfect as it is.  No matter what has been accomplished or what has been left undone.

Maybe the rest of my life is more like a bouquet of flowers instead of a list of chores.

My Mother Used to Say: When It Rains It Pours, — Sunday, January 12, 2025

“The New Year Stands Before Us, like a Chapter in a Book, waiting to be written.”—Melody Beattie

December and January have been a tad —-well, a time of sickness.

First I got COVID, then Terry got COVID.

We got over all that in time for CHRISTMAS!!! (See blessings do abound)

Then I came down with a sudden, horrific, leg infection, rising from my ankle to my knee–swelling, turning red, full of horrendous pain— and requiring me to walk with a cane. (When I had to walk)

But thanks to a specialist, medication, and a strong will to be pain-free —those hours of laying awake in the deep of the night counting my heartbeats to see if I have enough heartbeats in my heart to keep going.

I made it.

I can walk now without a cane.  My leg is starting to heal. (I’m almost pain-free right now)

The blessings have been heaped on me like rain on parched land.  I am so grateful.

The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty and TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—- There is HOPE!!!!—-Friday, 10, 2024

Yes, I know they are up in the sky!!! But! If I get on the wood hauler, maybe I could jump as high as the house. Then I could be tall, and WHaM, get a bird!

“TLC!  You are too little and too precious to be thinking of flying.  Come in. It’s cold outside.” Mom told me as she picked me up to go into the house.

I guess that is that!
