I find the setting of the sun
Causing dusk to deepen into night something extra special.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
Often times the end of the day is a time of peace
All the work is winding down
The day is starting to cool off
The night birds wake up to sing their special songs, and the day birds chirp the last of their melodies.
The gloaming is starting to rise from the land, the crickets raising their voices and the hummingbird moths quickening their search for food.
Peace.
The beautiful, marvelous ending to each and every day.
From my heart to your world,
Linda
There is a huge fire 12 miles from us—see the smoke haze in the horizon?
It’s sunny, hot, and very windy—not a help for the firefighters
It is a fire on the Uncompahgre Plateau
It’s called the Little Mesa Fire. 60 firefighters plus helicopters to dump water; all trying to contain the fire.
It was started by lightning.
Fire! Is Aways Scary!
Always,
Boo Berry Betty Brown and TLC Cai-Cai
We took some time off and drove up the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, always a special treat for Terry and I
While there, enjoying the river running through the canyon (this is where we get our irrigation water) I looked up to see the moon shining down on us in the daytime.
What a magical gift!
From my world to your heart,
Linda
Later—caught by the game camera—over the fence into the corn and a whole herd of them.
I went out later to see if the corn was knocked over—nope, you would never know if the camera didn’t show us!
As silent as a whisper—these fellow creatures!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
