A View of Escalante Canyon—Wednesday, November 6, 2024

If you were standing on our farm, even in our yard, on the west side of our house, right there on the grass

—and you turn, just a smidge toward the North!    Look past the trees!

Or walk to the end of the gated pipe—have your camera ready

From then you can see Escalante Canyon!  Yep right there!  All lit up in the sunlight, just before the storm let loose!

The Rains Came — Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Sunday the water felt like stinging drops, cold, hard rain, off and on all that day and into the night scattered bits of rain.

On into the night, it went—mostly wind and cold, cold chill.  Winter has arrived (for a spell).

I won’t be doing corn right now. It’s too wet to get to the fields, and the shucks are too wet to dry.

But wet is a good thing.  Corn waits.

In a Moment of Your Heart’s Despair —- Monday, November 4, 2024

In the moment of a heart’s despair,

There is always an equal moment

That lifts the heart up.

Search always for the uplifting moment.

Especially when the hour seems dark.

Here is to your heart—joy, peace, happiness!

🙂

A Gentle, Wondering Sign—Sunday, November 3, 2024

While we were walking about after our amazing two days of very cold rain (and some snow) then a huge killing freeze.

We saw a Glistening Sight!  A warning—of colder, much colder weather to come.

Isn’t it beautiful!!?

The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty and TLC Cai-Cai on 2024 Friday—The Huge, GIANT Rain Event, Friday, November 1, 2024

Chapter 11, It Has Arrived!!!

Well, we can’t really see anything, so I’m going to take a nap.  I crawled under the bed where I have the bestest perfect sleeping spot.

I was just closing my eyes when I heard Boo Berry jump down and pad downstairs.

Ahh….sleep, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

HUH!!!!?  What?  MY TAIL is HUGE!  A BIGGER TAIL THAN I EVER HAVE HAD!!!  And all my fur is standing up!

I jumped up and ran downstairs.  “BOO!” I yelled.  “Get Up we have to see what is happening outside!”

Boo Berry jumped up, eyes half-opened.  “up! Up!  UP!! I’m up!  Now what?”

“Get Up where you were and tell me what you see!”  I ordered.

With that I jumped up into my recently vacated window!

“OH! BOO! It’s here!  The Big Storm is here!”

“Hide!”  We both yelled at the same time.  “HIDE!”

UNDER THE BED! Boo!  Under the Bed!

Autumn Light, Wednesday, October 30, 2024

“Autumn spun in twilight’s hour,

Golden leaves glowing,

her soul empowered.”—Angie Weiland-Crosby

Although this wasn’t taken in the evening, I had walked outside in the morning to gather up more firewood; looking toward the west.

There was the early morning sunlight lighting up the Roubidoux Canyon.  (It lies a wee bit beyond the edge of our farm.)

Glorious!

Smell the Sky—Also, Smell the Earth, Tuesday, October 29, 2024

Go outside!  No matter where you live—look up, look down, and become one with what you see!

Once you are there.  Once you see.  Once you experience.  Give Thanks to your God(s) for you are truly blessed.

Remarkable — Monday, October 28, 2024

Terry and I spent Friday evening and Saturday morning watching Tallin, our youngest grandchild play volleyball.

After yummy food for lunch, Terry and I took her to the Colorado Mesa University Volleyball game— they won.

Afterward, we had ICE CREAM!

Sing a Song of Your Own—Sunday, October 27, 2024

Sing your own song!  Sing it softly, or loudly, but, make it your own.  Then those who have ears to hear will have eyes to see your heart!

Rejoicing!
