I still find JOY in seeing the baby ears starting to form on the corn!
YAY!!!

An epiphany happens with you suddenly have a flash
And enlightenment.
Maybe this wasn’t a true epiphany, but it sure was a huge change to the massive heatwave we’ve been having.
A few little sprinkles occurred while we worked at finishing up the hay field.

Have you noticed (wherever you live) there is no absolute silence anymore?
Even the most remote spots have the presence of a roar in jets or distant traffic
(see the bunny?)
Welcome sounds of liquid bird songs—-always welcome
And the dappled shadows of gently rustling leaves in the breeze
A soothing delight.
The sounds of silence eddying gently
Bringing with it a tiny rainbow—a source of huge delight.
From my heart to your world,
Linda
It’s 104-105* here with a real feel of 111-112*
It’s so hot the trees are protesting by losing their leaves
Mom says it’s hard to keep things wet.
Dad agrees with her.
Black and sun make a doggie pant
The heat makes a kitty with two coats a tad tired.
HOT!! Is the word for the week!

It grew too hot to bale hay—Dad only bales hay when the dew is on the hay.
When he came inside he said, “Let’s go for a ride”.
Mom picked me up and got in the pick-up with Dad; off we went–
to the Uncompahgre Plateau where we saw lots of neat things.
At one point— Mom and Dad and I went for a walk so Mom could get a photo
Of the Lone Cone, way over there by Norwood, Nucla, and Naturita.
