Grass Shadow–

My! was Saturday ever cold!  A skiff of snow, but the wind!  Oh! My! The Wind!  Right off the North Pole and heavy/hard.

I’m sure it’s heading across the States for others to feel the chill.  😦

Gradually we started warming up (a bit), thankfully!

In the Crisp, Chilled Morning Air—-Tuesday, September, 29, 2020

As the mist left the land

Boomer and I took squirrel food and birdseed over to the equipment area

To feed the little critters

For life ‘on the land’ can be a tad harsh in the winter.

After spreading out the treats we (Boomer and I) waited. First, the little chipmunk to show up.

While the chipmunk ran home to deposit the great find.  Natures’ vacuum cleaner arrived!  🙂

Leaving nothing behind

Nothing.

I couldn’t put any more out for two reasons: I had not brought enough. And if I came out to scatter more— the birds wouldn’t come back.

Instead, I would get a repeat of the squirrel.  🙂

Darn it.

Stand Right There Wherever You Are—-Sunday, April, 29, 2018

STOP!

Right THERE!

And lift up your eyes

Rejoice in the everyday

Sing songs to the sun

And sing to the everyday commonness of [your] daily lives.

“Still, what I want in my life

is to be willing

to be dazzled—

to cast aside the weight of facts

and maybe even

to float a little

above this difficult world.”

Dancing in Sunrays—Wednesday, November, 29, 2017

The amazing sky—never empty–nor a void either

Never a void, scudding clouds make the last rays of sunshine  a page out of a coloring book

Walking in vibrantly stained air is sometimes like walking in a molten shower of color

And honestly…not only does it make my heart sing; my soul seems alive!

My eyes delight in the brilliantly painted skies, which fling shadows shaded in blacks and grays

I hope you are (also) able to wander outside and capture the sun within the beats of your heart!
