Something moving there in the beautiful brightness of the morning sun
A Deer brushing by in the gentle breeze
Breathless, so swift it was almost invisible.

We left early and headed to Unaweep Canyon, (click on the blue to learn more)
Then we headed on toward Uravan (which is no longer there)
Making a stop at the Hanging Flume. What an amazing feat of wonder.
Can you see it, barely hanging alongside the cliff?
Then off we went to eat at Blodie’s in Naturita, up to Bedrock and Paradox, then Nucla for a small tour.
I drove all the way to Norwood, but Terry had to drive Norwood Hill (scary) and Dallas Divide (Lots of traffic—scary)
At Ridgeway, I took over.
We made an ice cream stop in Montrose, then came home.
Coddiwomple (v.): to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination.
Tired, happy, and ready to be back to our routine.

Good Morning!
Off we go—early, early—-everything is planted now
Everything receives its own share of the water
Storm clouds build every afternoon—although, we have only received sprinkles so far.
Tractor work is slowing down but will build up again come haying season
A quick check at noon, to make sure all the siphon tubes are running.
Then as the summer golden hour arrives we head back out for the last set of the day
Finishing up just as the luminous violet turns into night
From our world to your heart,
Linda
I was looking at clouds, as we changed water one day —this cloud looks like it had a definite end; as at the end of a funnel
Then the End of the day colored this set of clouds
In a most glorious way
The End of the day’s sunlight!
The South End of our farm is called the Upper End an end of the farm, on the Southside.
The Last Set of the day—a type of end to our work 🙂
The End, just before the rest, after, which, comes the Beginning!

Terry is starting to feel so much better now. It’s been a huge long-haul, but we are making it.
Six Doctors, four trips to the emergency room, a three-day stay in the hospital, then an operation for gallbladder, plus thyroid medication, plus finally being able to eat again…(he lost 20 pounds) the corner to health is being turned.
What a huge marvelous blessing!
I am so grateful for all your prayers, good wishes, hand-holding across the internet, and hugs both near and far.
You are all such wonderful caring people!
From my heart to your heart,
Linda
Last night was a beautiful night, full of stars and a slender sickle of moon; rising slowly; leaving behind the curve of the earth
Gradually lifting itself from behind the trees and the glow of the earth’s atmosphere.
Terry was working so Boomer, Mindy and I walked early.
I like to rest on one of Terry’s farm implements, for a spell. Away from the moon shadows cast by trees, leaves, buildings—there I lean soaking up the silver light of the moon.
On quiet nights my mind fancies the Old Ones walk the land… sometimes I think I can see and feel them, other times there is nothing there; only the wind stirring the leaves of the growing crops.
Oh well…so it is.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
I have always, always wanted a water feature. So I have finally created one!
It is all put together from found items here on the farm—including the rocks!
I’ve order my pond plants. After I get them planted I will show you how it looks! I’m really excited! Such a fun little project!
Your friend always,
Linda
The other day Terry and I went for a small ride, just to break up the monotony. We headed up to Blue Mesa Reservoir and then on into Gunnison. While traveling into the town of Gunnison we happened to see this low flying flying machine heading right toward us
And we were stopped at the stop light AND…
I had my camera out sitting right by me!
They flew along the side of the car close enough we could read the words on the side of the jet!
We rolled the windows down and enjoyed the whole sensation…power, speed and excitement all rolled into just the few minutes it took for the red light to change into a green for go!
The whole thing was pretty darn exciting.
After a quick lunch we drove home. The water in the Blue Mesa Reservoir is slowly rising it has a long ways to go until it reaches the normal spot on the sides but it so much better than last year.
Your Farm Friend,
Linda
