The Adventures of Boomer on Friday— Wrap Up

Here it is the end of 2017…I’ve had a very good year…many adventures—

The UnMystery,  where I made it home safe and sound from those wild crazy coyotes and

The Mystery of Nothing, where I got caught in a flood.

I’ve helped Mom and Dad in everything they did on the farm:  Irrigate, sniff at poop…oh, wait, Mom and Dad didn’t sniff at poop.  Worked the land, they worked the land I looked for yummy dead stuff to roll in, you know all the important stuff.

I did get sick this summer.  Scared Mom and I.  But Mom sat with me and held my paw, took me to the Vet for special shots for pneumonia, and rubbed ice cubes on my ears and arm pits.  Sure felt good.

Sammy, My Kitty Buddy, stayed by my side the whole time.

 

It’s lonely without Sam…he joined my Bested Friend ForEVER this month of December.  It’s rather strange to not having Sammy sleeping close to me.  Mindy Cat is too independent to hang around me much.

Still Mindy and I always go with Mom, or Mom and Dad, when they go for a walk.  Mindy and I touch noses so Mom knows we are ‘good’ friends also.

This past week two of the grandkids have been here.  I didn’t go with Dad and Blade, but I did go with Mom and Tally wherever they went.  Mindy hid from everyone.

 This Christmas I thought I was going to have to get the White Elephant Present…

But Thankfully someone else got it for THEIR dog!!

TEE HEE!

Now we have cows here…lots of cows here.  Lots.

So this morning a cow did what cows really like to do….she got out!

She was really easy to put back in…Mom made me stay inside…I know I could have helped very nicely, but Mom wouldn’t let me.

Anyway, it’s been a pretty good year all in all.  The bad part was Sammy, but he was in lots of pain.  I didn’t want him to be in so much pain.  Then one day he wasn’t in pain anymore.

Oh, I forgot.  Lady came to live with us.

Well, with my sister Shannon and Romeo really.  But she is part of all our family even if she out of the pasture by my house.

  1. Boomer, I’m glad you had a good year, even though it is sad about Sam. I’m sorry Mom wouldn’t let you help get the cow back where she belongs — I’m sure you would have been a big help. By the way, you look positively regal in the header photo.

  3. Well Boom, you are looking quite dashing for New Years Eve! Sending wishes for a wonderful New Year with lots for you to investigate, friends galore, no coyotes and health and happiness for mom & dad, of course! Here’s to 2018!!!

  5. Aw, tell your mom Thanks for a great Blog! Boomer. It’s always such a pleasure to come here and read the latest and see the pictures and hear the stories about life on and around your farm. So glad Linda decided to do a blog. It’s so special for us out here to read! Happy New Year to you all!

  6. Great year-end report, B. It’s been a wonderful year, even with the scary and sad times. Those make the good, peaceful, happy times feel even more special and blessed. Happy New Year to all of you. We love sharing your farm life. And tell Lady she looks absolutely perfect!

  7. hello boomer its dennis the vizsla dog oh hay wow wot a yeer!!! skarry ilnesses seemd like a thing this summer didnt they??? hay i just no that boomer is stil kuddling up to yoo frum the other side of the rainbo bridj eeven if we kannot see him ennymor!!! happy noo yeer to all of yoo!!! ok bye
