I just love this spot
Ah…toasty on the toes
Warm sun on the feathers
Fluff, ruffle, settle
Yes, I think I’ll—
Settle down for a wee warm
SCRAM! This is MINE!!!
(Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda )
A random assortment of wildlife
Quail doing his mating dance
A Dust Devil playing across the farm
The songs of the Red-Winged Blackbirds fill the air
Sunlight through little bunny ears
Art from the Earth—a rock flower
Searching, searching
Shimmering beautifully, deadly in the air
Moonlight grass
Moon (and Star?)
Mr. Pheasant running down the lane
Bird shadows
The beauty of Tail and wings
Gifts of love everywhere

Linda
You just think I’m going with you.
I don’t Care if T’Ata and Glory Bee are going!
You aren’t going to make me go
EVER!!!
Get this through your head…
I only go if I WANT to go! said LaVerne the Mule as she dashed this way and that.
So, that is what happened. LaVerne stayed home (and bawled and cried and ran up and down in the pasture)
While T’Ata and Glory Bee went for a nice long walk-about.
LaVerne the Mule—guess what? There is a saying: “Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.”
Nose? Nose? Why would I cut off my nose? LaVerne puzzled.
Oh, muley girl, you just don’t get it.

Mom and I had just come out of the house
Where I had been eating BREAKFAST!!!
I go out early, early in the morning
Just at Daybreak
Not Daylight
Daybreak!
Why so early?
Gosh, there are things to do
Stuff to see
And MICE to catch!
Anyway,
Mom and I came out the backdoor together
Mom going over to feed the Humming Birds
And I, to walk with Mom
WHEN I SAW
What is it?
Just as I saw IT, so did Mom
I saw Mom put her hand down by the It
Then
No more IT
I wonder what happened to IT?
Oh, well, gone.

I got a message on messenger with this lovely, lovely rainbow.
“Here is a rainbow from near Seneca Lake, Wayne Township, Noble County, Ohio. It is a double rainbow. You can barely see the one to the left. We had 1 1/2 inches of rain in about one hour. Makes around 5″ in the last week”
(And, if you look close there is the start of a third rainbow! WOW! Something I have only heard about; never seen!!)
What a lovely and beautiful gift…Thank you ever so much,
Linda
