The killing freezes we’ve been having have loosened up the kochia weeds, coupled with the wind

Chapter Ten
“Hey, Boo,” I meowed at Boo Berry. “Let’s go outside. I heard something out the bedroom window last night while everyone was sleeping.”
“Outside?!?!” Boo Berry questioned.
“Yes, outside. Come on, Dad is heading outside, and we can go with him.” I bolted to the kitchen door.
“Okay, if Dad is going, I will go.” Boo Berry jumped up and headed toward the kitchen door just as Dad made it there.
We dashed out. Whew. Made it. Dad didn’t like how we tangled into him and each other, but, oh well, what the heck, we got out!
“Head over to the west side of the yard, Boo. That’s where I heard ‘stuff’.” I dashed over to the west side of the yard.
“YES!” I stopped and smelled. “YES!”
“I can smell it too!” Boo exclaimed. “DEER! Wow! BABY DEER!
Too bad Mom and Dad can’t see these little creatures. I’ll bet they would like to see them.”
“Well, actually, I WOULD like to see them!” Boo Berry muttered to herself.
“What would you do if you did see them?” I asked Boo, Would you bark at them?”
“Ah, hum, aaaaahhhhhhhh, well, probably not.” Boo looked at me rather sheepishly.
“BUT I might, er, maybe, possibly could growl.”
“That would work. I think I would hide.”
“HIDE! I could hide! YES! I could hide…INSIDE!! Boo Berry made a dash for the back door.
Lucky Boo, Mom was just coming out.
Boo dashed right in behind Mom, and off they went to do whatever.
Me. Well, I have things to do and stuff to see.
Thanks for reading. See Ya around sometime.

After another round of rain,
We had fog in the early morning!
Fog is a huge delight for me. It’s not unheard of here, but it’s usually a rather rare occurrence.
My mother always said fog was a cloud that sat down on the world—so we could enter the world of Fairy for a bit.
I delighted in that thought then, and I still do now!

I wanted to get a photo of a falling leaf….Yes, I know, simple things entertain me.
Surely I could find ONE! I could take a photo of it, surely
AND I DID!!!
Catch a falling leaf and put it in your pocket, save it for a rainy day. OOPPS
Catch a falling star!!!
Shish!
Still, the leaf does work…yes! It does!

Chapter Nine
“MOM!” Boo Berry howled. “MOM!”
“What are you screaming about?” I asked as I trotted up to see what was going on with Boo.
I want in.
Why?
‘Cause I’m outside and I want inside.
Why?
It’s Outside.
So, nothing’s wrong with the outside. Outside is big, fun, and really exciting.
That’s exactly why.
Oh, Boo, you are such a scared dog.
No, I’m not. I just like being inside better.
MOM!!!! Boo Berry Screamed.
What’s going on, Mom said, walking up to the house.
Oh, it’s that dog; she wants in.
MOM! MOM! MOM! Boo Berry jumped around and bounced this way and that.
In Boo Berry? Mom asked
Okay, I’m ready to go in. Do you want in, TLC? Mom bent down and gave me a pet.
Hum, let me think about it, I purred.
Okay. I replied. I guess so.
Go on a walk. Among the sighing of the drying corn, the rustling of the (Thankfully) dying weeds
To touch the earth with my feet.
Boo Berry and I, and sometimes,
but not always TLC.
Sometimes Terry goes with us. Not often, he is usually busy, but still sometimes.
We go many places here and there upon the farm. No work in mind, just being one with the earth.
I always take my camera—and I always look for kisses [hearts] from the earth. Because they are there. We just have to look.
Raining or not, we go. I just need to feel the earth, the sky, the air, be blessed by the sun, the moon, or the rain.
Sometimes—I have to go outside.
