Friday night, September 6th was Delta’s Homecoming.

And Sam came with his roadster. (I got to ride back in the roadster instead of walking the football field several times taking photos–which was neat!)

There are still a few farmers getting in onions, and pinto beans….maybe some who have a fourth cutting of hay drying on the ground. (We never go for a fourth, but let the plants have as much growth as possible to go into the winter.)
But for us and many, many others we are in that spot of time waiting for the corn to dry down.

Who could not love this time of year?

We all went for a walk, Mom, Boo, and me—-TLC
And we saw a RAINBOW!!!
Mom was thrilled,
Boo and I didn’t really care, but it made Mom happy so we were happy!

The moving and changing of water is over for the year. Now we wait for the corn to dry down
Each day the stalks, the leaves, the tops, and the ears turn drier and drier.
We are in a time of not so much work; a reprieve from too much work.
Which is a lovely place to be.

Sometimes I think about dying—what it might be like, what I would like to experience when my time comes
I know that seems morbid, but really it isn’t
I hope I get to experience ‘death’ with full understanding. My soul separated from the earthly body and my ‘whole self’ moved into the tunnel of light
Then seeing that light–that white light that draws all souls toward it.
Being fully aware…not just suddenly slapped into the tunnel, or drugged so even my soul finds it hard to move.
Aware. Every step of the way!
Yes, I know that is odd…but, I do think about it off and on.

Our internet went down for a whole day last week! (Horrors)
It seemed like a long, long day. So many things run on the internet now, that it has become as important as electricity.
Anyway, I am grateful and thankful it’s back.
Also—guess what?! I found a heart rock hugging a pretty little quartz.
