About Dayphoto

My name is Linda Brown. I live on a farm on the western slope of Colorado, in the high mountain desert. I’ve lived here all my life, hailing back four generations on my father’s side. Today I blog about our farm, the everyday activities that keep the farm going. I also write about my thoughts and dreams and goals. On Friday’s I always write about TLC Cai-Cai. Our sweet kitty who helps keep the farm safe. And Boo Berry Betty, a breeder dog learning to be a Farm Dog! The lovely thing about blogging it opens the world up for all of us to reach out and meet people from many different cultures and different ways of life. You can find me every day (but Saturday) at https://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com/ Your Friend on a Western Colorado Farm, Linda Brown

Tweet, Tweet, Little Birdy

Rock’n Robin is also an earworm

Sometimes I mix the two songs up in my head

She flies up high, and she flies down low

He rocks in the treetops all day long

Hop’pn and bopping and singing his song

Living and loving in the sun

Little Birdy Tweet, Tweet, Tweet.

Now you get to have those two songs running around in your head all day long!

Thank you—I like to share!  🙂

The wind is terrible here—

Has been for days and days and days

And the heat is hard and miserable (although, Mom rather likes it—Mom is silly)

So, Boo and I are staying inside.  Where it’s NOT windy!

A Huge Big Magical Event (for me)

Is the setting of the sun

Always!

From one day to the next, and the next, and then the day following.

Magic–the bright yellow light of the setting Summer sun!

Linda

Food and the Need for It — Sunday, June 25, 2023

Yes, I know—the Dance of Life is terrible in so many ways

Yet, at the same time, I can’t help myself admiring those huge birds of prey

Hawks, so beautiful, As they circle, circle, looking for a meal.

No different than anyone of us, ever.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

Suddenly Mom looked down and said:  “WOW! LOOK, Boo Berry!  The earth has given us

A heart!

Mom and I did a little dance!
