The wind is terrible here—
Has been for days and days and days
Wind– like this wind from last year!
And the heat is hard and miserable (although, Mom rather likes it—Mom is silly)
So, Boo and I are staying inside. Where it’s NOT windy!

I got an instant message from Randy—“We had a downpour this evening and then a rainbow! The vegetable & flower gardens are enjoying the rains we are having”

Over 1,000 bales of alfalfa hay, plus 400 bales of grass hay are sold.
Gone to other homes.
Come Friday there won’t be a single bale left
YAY!
Cut, baled, stacked, loaded, SOLD!
Next cutting in three to four weeks.

Yes, I know—the Dance of Life is terrible in so many ways
Yet, at the same time, I can’t help myself admiring those huge birds of prey
Hawks, so beautiful, As they circle, circle, looking for a meal.
No different than anyone of us, ever.

Mom and I were out doing the chores—which means, helping Dad
Change the water.
Suddenly Mom looked down and said: “WOW! LOOK, Boo Berry! The earth has given us
A heart!
Mom and I did a little dance!

In just one day, the week of storms we were surrounded by
Starting blowing away
Bringing in soft fluffy clouds and fresh and gentle earth.
