As the Moon Rose in the Sky — The Sun Started to Set — Wednesday, November 17, 2021

Sometimes it happens, the Moon and the Sun arrive at the same point

At opposite ends of the heavens

When that happens we are more than blessed

For the air turns pink, a rose, orange and yellow

But mostly rose and pink

It is a wonderous experience to walk in the light.

Huddled Down for the Winter — Tuesday, November 16, 2021

As I was picking up the orange dams, I came across a whole pile of

Wooly worms, all curved up, in a deep sleep

I gathered each one up and walked them over to a pile of wood boards we use off and on in the canals and ditches

There I placed them, one-by-one to sleep away the dark Winter.

As the Days Grow Shorter and Shorter — Monday, November 15, 2021

A wee walk-about on the farm

Saw a very busy hawk searching, searching

For something to fill his/her tummy.

Putting the Farm to Bed —- Sunday, November 14, 2021

While Terry worked on servicing the combine

I took myself out to the farm and started picking up all the siphon tubes

Covering the culverts so no little animal could winter over then drown come Spring

And gathering the orange dams to haul into the barn

Gradually, I made it

The weather was fine and dry, the air cool; still I worked up a sweat.

Gradually, I got to last (and largest) of the alfalfa field when Terry arrived and helped me wrap everything up.

Harvest is nearing.

So exciting!

Into the Count Down — Thursday, November 11, 2021

Terry has been checking the corn…we are getting close now

15%.  Maybe next week we can start.

The Elevator only takes it at 14% or below.

Keep your fingers crossed!

Magic Whispers on the Land — Tuesday, November 9, 2021

Magic to me is the ordinary to others

The familiar, but marvelous all wrapped up as one.

To me, it is that sweet quick whisper of seeing one of those little creatures who share the farm with us.

Water—The Voice of the Land, Monday, November 8, 2021

It’s that time of year (again) when all the canals are turned off

Allowing the reservoirs and lakes to start filling again

It’s a lovely but (for me) a tad sad

For that means winter is looming

Still, I gather at the fences and allow the joyful tinkling of the life-giving water

Lifting  the energy of my mind,

my spirit and soul.

A marvelous sensation, akin to the beating of God(s) heart!

The Land Speaks with Many Voices — Sunday, November 7, 2021

We are in the waning days of Autumn now,

Beautiful days full of Loud Joyful Expressions

Compared to the soft kind pronouncements of Spring

Each day the music of Fall sings to me;

Filling our dreams with songs of falling leaves

The voice of the God(s)

Gifting us with beautifully adorned trinkets of colors and lights

The daily small treasures of Autumn.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

When the World is Full of All Things Possible — Thursday, November 4, 2021

Just before the sun comes up

When the sky is grey and the earth still black

Or when a lovely, wet grey cloud sits down on the land

I can feel the God(s) at work, walking among us

Then as the sun starts arriving–the magic grows stronger and stronger

The first shafts of light trim the horizon; the very air starts singing with the ancient songs of Earth, Wind, and Sky.

My heart, my mind, my soul lifts my personal melody of joy blending into the tingling vibrations surrounding everything.

From my heart to your world,

Linda
