What’s Up Grammy?

Tallin was curious about what I was doing.  She has become really ‘interested’ in things on peoples faces like: glasses, earrings, and the camera.

Surprise Family Visit

We had a surprise visit from Carolyn and Wayne, (Terry’s sister and brother-in-law), which resulted in a quick family supper.

Eating outside is a nice treat AND I even put a tablecloth on the picnic table.  How about that!

Fall is in the Air

Frost is on its way

The corn is ripe; there are dents in each kernel

And the irrigation water has been turned off until spring.

Teamwork Makes the Job a Little Easier

Shannon’s radiator sprung a leak, so Terry helped Buddy change it out.  This made a nice little trip for us, we got to see the kids, and do a little shopping in Grand Junction, Colorado.

A Pile of Red Beans

Some, but not all, of these beans we will keep for our use and the kids’ use and Terry will give some away to a neighbor or two.

The rest is hauled to the beanery where really good prices are to be had this year.

Western Colorado Pinto Bean Harvest (Yummy Red Beans)

When I got home from work Terry was just going down the field for the second time.

The combine picks up three rows at a time, just right for our needs. (watching in my contribution.  Sometimes I have to do something, but it is never anything ‘really big’.)  I know there are those out there with REALLY BIG heads, but this one works for Terry.

The bean straw left behind is the favorite food of the cows once we turn them into the field.

Tallin Rose McCormick

She is the first baby in our family to have copper colored hair.  (My Momma would have delighted in the color!)
