This cute little baby
Has grown up so fast
Last Thursday night she
Left her childhood behind
And graduated from the 8th Grade.
On to high school, she goes!
Congratulations, Tally!
From our world to your heart,
Linda
I was finally outside running free, free, free!
I checked here
And there
And over here
Then back behind here
Down the road
Behind the grain bins.
I was just turning around to head back to the house for
BREAKFAST
When
I heard a ROAR!
Not just a roar, but
A BIG ROAR, ROAR
It scared me so bad I ran under some weeds next to Dad’s tractor shed
The ROAR got louder and louder
THE ROAR WAS HUGE
I made myself as small as I could get—keeping my eyes peeled on the sound
Then out backed Dad and the tractor
OH! Yes! The TRACTOR!
The scary thing that lives on the farm
Well, one of the scary things
Dad has five tractors—FIVE! And they are all huge, green, with giant tires that could smash a cat flat and LOUD!
I mean LOUD!
I slunk way down to the ground where I got so flat I was part of the ground.

Then I waited there. All still and tiny and flat.
As I watched, Dad fueled up the loud tractor, then headed toward the equipment area
That means the tractor, the VERY LOUD tractor has to go right by my hiding spot.
I made myself flatter and flatter
Whew!
Dad is gone!
I jumped up—all fluffy and my full size again—and dashed away, away from the tractor shed and all those potentially
LOUD TRACTORS!
As I was dashing away I saw Mom come out of the Backdoor—
MOM! I yelled.
WAIT! I need breakfast!
Swooped me up, gave me a kiss on my kitty nose, and put me in the house
Where I got BREAKFAST!
Purrrr, purr, purr

“Good Morning, Girls”, Mom said. “Ready to outside and have some fun?”
“Hush your worry, Skitter Bug” Fluffy clucked as they headed out of the hen house.
“If you keep thinking of things that are going to get you, you will never get to see the world.”
“Look Skitter Mom has scattered Yummy treats right here!”
“WOW! Even bugs! Fluffy!! BUGS!”
“OH! MY GOSH! RUN, FLUFFY RUN!”
“No, Skitter, come this way…more bugs, more places to scratch”
“I’ll stand watch, you’ll be safe.”
“This is different, sorta hard, butttttt YUM a cricket!!”
“This wind is something else—ruffled butt feathers!”
“Just turn sideways…your feathers will stay down, Skitter.”
“OHHHHHHHHHHH, this is heaven. SKITTER leave the hen house and come play!”

I was looking at clouds, as we changed water one day —this cloud looks like it had a definite end; as at the end of a funnel
Then the End of the day colored this set of clouds
In a most glorious way
The End of the day’s sunlight!
The South End of our farm is called the Upper End an end of the farm, on the Southside.
The Last Set of the day—a type of end to our work 🙂
The End, just before the rest, after, which, comes the Beginning!

Sometimes I wonder if birds are the physical stardust of the earth
Since the earth is magnetic
Attaching all of us to its magnetic current.
The birds live here with us
Scattering their pixie dust upon our beating hearts
Their voices are the music of the heavens
Their flight is a type of wonder for our eyes
Watching them is an extraordinary experience
we can quickly become hypnotized.
Exquisite, actually
Even the sudden flight of Mr. PH
Or the mad dash into the air by both—Mr. Ph and Mrs
Then there is the bounce and hop of the Red-Red Robin
Or the flight of a Quail—oh, my! 🙂
O!
For our eyes
They are up and away
In a second.
A beautiful moment of joy/wonder/delight
Yes, I do believe
Birds are the Earth’s
Star Dust
The living breathing answer to happiness!

My beautiful sister-in-law, Cloudy, and my brother (Dan) were driving through Durango, Colorado last winter when they came across a piece of property that spoke to Cloudy’s soul.
Dan agreed, It was the place of their dreams.
They invited us to come see— so into the San Juan Mountains we drove.
So off we went over the Million Dollar Highway
On to Red Mountain Pass
Then through Molas Pass
And Coal Bank
Until we arrived!
It’s a stunning piece of property
Their house overlooks several ponds, a large meadow
Many buildings
Including a greenhouse, which Cloudy loves.
Lots of Rainbow trout, they are raising
And Cloudy’s new pets—6 ducks
(This photo is taken at our house, their house is more artistic)
I am so happy for them
Serendipity—something we would all love to experience.
Just look what Serendipity did for Dan and Cloudy!
From my heart to your world,
Linda

When I was little my Mother used to tell me, that whenever we had fog (Fog is a rare and beautiful thing here in the High Mountain Desert)
That a cloud came to Earth for a rest.
Saturday morning, we woke to a cloud sitting on our part of the Earth; resting.

Just so you know—I wake up BEFORE Mom and Dad! I mean BEFORE! Like when the sky is still dark, but there is a tiny rim of light over there in the East and two BIG stars, one high and one low shining brightly.
Mom always gets up at 5:00 a.m., but I get up Before MOM!
Until Mom and Dad get up, I do things to help them get up: I run across the bed really, really fast. Then jump off. I walk as heavy as I can up Dad, cross over the top of his head and the pillow, onto Mom’s head and pillow, and walk down her as hard as I can.
Then when Mom turns over on her back I walk up (HEAVY) and stop right on her stomach and stand hard and stare at her. When she opens her eyes and starts to touch me I lay down fast and put my face right into her face and PURR!
Then Mom and I have a long, long, long pet/purr time before I get tired and jump up, push-off, and jump down.
If Mom doesn’t get up right then I do everything I can to get her up—I sit in the window and try to climb the screen to get at the Swallows building nests onto the house, (That ALWAYS gets me yelled at).
When I get tired of all those things, and I want Mom to get up and get me some yummy food from a can, I CLAW the drapes.
Yep.
Mom flings herself out of bed and yells at me to STOP; I run off fast into the kitchen where I wait.
Yep! Five O’clock! Time for mom to rise and shine!
The Day has Started!
Smirk, Smirk!

Hi Linda.
I was listening to the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game this evening when I noticed the sun was sneaking out to the West. There were still the dark rain clouds to the South. I figured I better go take a look to the East.
BINGO!
WOW! A double rainbow!
Thank you ever so much from me and everyone who reads my blog!
