Life at Eleven Months Old—Chapter Five, I Am Not a Fan of Rain Days, November 5, 2021

It rained.

Sure, did put a crimp in my style.

I tried to go out and cruise around the farm

But it was just too wet.

You have to know if it’s raining: I get wet

If it’s raining the weeds get wet

So, I get even wetter!

I have a hard time being inside. I go STIR CRAZY.  That’s what Mom says.

When I’m stirring crazy, I climb the drapes and sharped my claws on the furniture, and I run as fast as my legs will carry me all over the house.

In a frenzy.

So, Mom, says…” Okay, TLC Cai-Cai, you can go outside, but it IS wet.”

Mom opens the door and I Dash out.  Wet or not I’m going OUTSIDE!

Just so you know…I have figured out a place to stay if it is too WET….

I stay in the hen house, while the hens go out and scratch around in their pen.

Works for me.

And sometimes I can catch a mouse in there.

When the World is Full of All Things Possible — Thursday, November 4, 2021

Just before the sun comes up

When the sky is grey and the earth still black

Or when a lovely, wet grey cloud sits down on the land

I can feel the God(s) at work, walking among us

Then as the sun starts arriving–the magic grows stronger and stronger

The first shafts of light trim the horizon; the very air starts singing with the ancient songs of Earth, Wind, and Sky.

My heart, my mind, my soul lifts my personal melody of joy blending into the tingling vibrations surrounding everything.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

The Rain Drops Dance Within the Air —- Wednesday, November 3, 2021

Although,

the tops of the corn look very battered from all the blustering

Sounds on the farm are muffled

Rain!

Beautiful.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

A Wee Celebration — Tuesday, November 2, 2021

Thank you, one and all, for being my blog readers!

I’ve been writing this tiny little blog since 2007.  I have enjoyed every minute of it.

Getting to know you, reading and answering your comments, sharing just a little bit about farm life on our farm in the western part of Colorado.

I do appreciate you and Thank you.

From my heart to your heart,

Linda

The Dense Vibrant Colors Shiver and Wave in the Wind — Monday, November 1, 2021

Everywhere  the color of Autumn wraps around us

The yellow, gold, and orange leaves rustle in the wind

The boughs swaying and creaking gently against each other

Murmuring whispers of Good Night, Sweet Dreams

The Owls hoot sleepily as they wake in the treetops,

Love You, Precious Ones…it’s time for rest now.

From my world to your heart,

Linda

I Am Stunned and so Ever lastingly Grateful—-Sunday, October 31, 2021

The Fex Ex truck rolled down our long long lane bringing to me a box all the way from the East Coast, the Southern part of the East Coast.

A military-style jacket, a woolen scarf, a pearl necklace, and a sweet wonderful card.

And the jacket Fits!  This is another surprise because Vic has never met me, nor did she ask me what size I wear.

I am humbly Thankful and ever so grateful for such a loving and generous gift.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

Life at Ten Months Old—Chapter Four, Dad and I, Friday, October 29, 2021

Sometimes it’s rather boring outside.

I try to check everything out

But

Sometimes there is nothing to see

Do

Or chase

Then DAD comes!

YAY!

Just for Fun, Hawk Memories — Thursday, October 28, 2021

Here are some of my past hawk photos

There are two hawks here, see the split tail, the same as the one in the above photo

Here is one landing

Now taking off

Trying to get high in the sky because I was there

And my favorite!

My world to your heart,

Linda

It Rained and the Wind Blew — Wednesday, October 27, 2021

But, back before the wet and blustery weather rolled in

I went for a ride-about

I wanted to get a good photo of the hawk(s) who live on our land

Sigh!

I guess I didn’t make it.

There is One Thing I’ve Learned For Sure in My Long Life —- Tuesday, October 26, 2021

Horses always get out.

And once out, they love the game of “Catch the Horsey” much more than you do.
