(Taken last week when we had snow again)
It snowed here—stopping the farming
(Last week It melted fast)
Sending me inside
With the house dog!

In the afternoon it stopped snow/raining
So I went back outside. I have STUFF to DO!!! Much more than that dog does.

We went for a ride, listened to the music of the motor and tires, and hummed along with them.

The ground is perfect right now (for plowing)
Rich, dark, with just the right amount of moisture in it to make soft crumbly soil, later on.
Spring is in the air —I saw two Robins Saturday, a wee Western Meadowlark singing on the fence post, and a tiny flock of 4 bluebirds flying along the ditch bank.
Spring is starting to SPRING FORTH! YAY! New Beginnings! A reason to go outside and experience JOY!

Mom and Dad have been working to clean up that
HUGE branch that fell in the yard
TLC and I helped
TLC said let’s play over here…that way we are out of the way.
After a bazillion hours, it was time to go in
TLC beat me to the house—he went in with Dad
I had to wait for Mom
HURRY MOM!
Finally! She got there!

When I see the fleeting beauty of sun-colored clouds or the golden light of the morning or evening sun
When the golden sunlight picks up the Canada Geese or the Sandhill Cranes wings flash through the clouds or the colors of their feathers as they feed in the fields
As the sun sets ever so gradually, yet swiftly, It feels like the day only lasts for a short time, then winks out to begin again the next day.

Saturday was a mess of a day—40 to 60 mph wind gusts…then around 4:50 p.m. (the house camera caught a giant limb breaking off the very old Cottonwood tree)
A huge limb came crashing down—thankfully not on the house, or the carport — we were home when it happened. It was a tad scary, to say the least.
Sunday we woke up to a skiff of snow/ice and that big branch.
Aw, life—you get to thinking you are caught up on the big jobs — when you get to have another one! 🙂
