There is something rather special about that time of night called the Gloaming.

We still have some green leaves hanging around here and there. I’ll look one day and they will all be on the ground. It will be sudden…no turning brown—just done! Dropped.
And, of course, there are all the leaves on the ground I need to clean up.
Which probably won’t happen now until March. 🙂

Finally, after all the sun and the freezing and the thawing
We can walk on the farm now without being sucked down into the mud
The light breaking through to highlight the Adobie badlands seemed to shimmer in the evening air.
It was a bit of magic sitting there in frozen air–I feel grateful for seeing and getting to photograph the sparkle.
