Caught on the Game Camera — Wednesday, August, 23, 2023

Yep!  Us!

I had sat the game camera down (heading out to the corn field to see if I can photo the deer).

These two wanted in—so I helped them by opening the door! 🙂

The Seam Between Summer and Autumn—Tuesday, August 22, 2023

August is that point in time when things are moving toward a huge change

If you spend all your time inside a building or a car you won’t notice anything

Until the slow movement has stirred itself into true

Fall.

But, if you are like Terry and me, outside much of the time—you will realize the gift we are being given—

The sun still sending us heat and the cooler mornings heading toward Autumn.

A Touch of Fall is in the Air — Monday, August 21, 2022

You can see it in the sky, on the land, and with the deer!

The deer always arrive when the corn is in the silk.  Not good, but a fact.  They are very hard on the corn—eating only the silks, therefore, killing the cob.

They will stay on the farm now until early March.

(Along with them come the coyotes—nasty things.  We will have them until the deer leave)

As the Dusk Starts to Fade — Sunday, August 20, 2022

As the world turns to dusk, then the gloaming and on into the night

The light tells us it is still Summer— yellow for summer.

Remember tranquil purple whispers Winter

Lovely pink and rose for Spring

Come Autumn—soon…close to the time of Labor Day the light will change

To orange —- many shades of orange!

But for now–

There is a lemony glow to the light–thankfully it is still Summer!

The Adventures of Boo Berry Betty and TLC Cai-Cai on Friday—-Little Mesa Fire, Friday, August 19, 2023

That is the fire!  Scary isn’t it?

We don’t like the fire. Or the horrible smoke from the fire.

The fire report says it has grown to —-way over 3,000 acres

And still growing.

On purpose!!!

Scary stuff.

I Love Early Morning, but — Wednesday, August 16, 2023

I find the setting of the sun

Causing dusk to deepen into night something extra special.

Peace, Profoundly Peaceful — Tuesday, August 15, 2023

Often times the end of the day is a time of peace

All the work is winding down

The day is starting to cool off

The night birds wake up to sing their special songs, and the day birds chirp the last of their melodies.

The gloaming is starting to rise from the land, the crickets raising their voices and the hummingbird moths quickening their search for food.

Peace.

The beautiful, marvelous ending to each and every day.

From my heart to your world,

Linda

A Common Thing, which to me, is Miraculous—Monday, August 14, 2023

This Mourning Dove watched me take out my camera—always watching as I snapped away, while it whirled through the air.

Eerily wonderful!

What a gift!

I yelled, “THANK YOU!” as it eagerly left!
