We were loading out a load of hay when I happened to look at the sky
A quick little rain shower brought with it a prism of light
All around us, the earth smelled of heat, dirt, alfalfa, and the fresh scent of rain in the air.
What a lovely gift at the end of the day!

A beautiful rainbow right here —with rain coming down on the plateau and putting out the fires!!

We GOT rain! Thankfully the hay is all in and stacked.
RAIN! Beautiful wonderful Rain!
And we got a smidge of something—rainbow, sundog, something. I’ll take a sundog–it means a cool down.
The full moon through the rain clouds was Stunningly beautiful!

Have you noticed (wherever you live) there is no absolute silence anymore?
Even the most remote spots have the presence of a roar in jets or distant traffic
(see the bunny?)
Welcome sounds of liquid bird songs—-always welcome
And the dappled shadows of gently rustling leaves in the breeze
A soothing delight.
The sounds of silence eddying gently
Bringing with it a tiny rainbow—a source of huge delight.

Coming down our long, long lane I saw the faintest of rainbows!
Which made me think to myself—–
Always, always God(s) is (are) speaking to us—in the trees, on the land, in the silence of the sky
Sometimes, (just sometimes) we forget to see/hear—but when we do—
WHEN WE DO!!!
The dazzle the God(s) share with us

I’m a regular reader of your blog; it is a pleasure to read your positive and beautiful posts. I know you love rainbows, so I’m attaching a picture of a rainbow my husband and I saw while on a walk this morning on the Santa Fe trail in Monument, CO. I wish the picture would have shown the complete rainbow, but it was so big it didn’t fit.
It was a spectacular sight. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
