Sealing everything in its power of dirt.
What a mess.
No rain here; only the clatter and clamor of the wind.
The dirt fills lungs and eyes….well, you understand.

The air is full of the constant joy of flight and song
It’s comforting to see the birds here and there
It feels strangely wonderful
As if the feathered world is taking care of us.
I think it is the birdsong
The chorus of their melodies surrounding each one of us to the point
We forget to hear.
Yet always there wrapping us in beauty
Filling our minds with
With a solace
Inviting us to be part of their world
In a most intimate
And personal
Way.
Birdsong…
A cuddle of ease for each and every day.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
A darling little bunny dashed in front of us as we were irrigating
I’ve seen bunnies dashing this way and that in the warming sunshine
Most of the time in the Upper End.
This is amazing because this is also the coyotes’ favorite place to hunt.
Oftentimes in the green-dappled light (I put up a camera to see where the coyotes have been hanging out.)
I see little squirrels…I like to think they are Stanley
And Stewart.
The hawks hunt the land.
In reality, all is peaceful and calm and just perfect.

See the male in the background and the female in the forefront?
In the cool morning light, I often see my little male pheasant who has claimed the Upper End
And at least one of his ‘girls’
I see him often in the cool of the early morning light
Followed by two hens. Sometimes only one, but most of the time two.
BUT, in the delightful sinking of the sun,
as we turned up to the largest Alfalfa field, I saw ANOTHER male rooster.
Then over by the little creek, which runs through the farm, there was One More!
Finally, the last one I saw was guarding his territory by the little alfalfa field!
Four male pheasants, in four different areas of the farm….all protecting ‘their spot’.
What a beautiful, shimmering, abundant world we live in!
We are so blessed. Thank you to each and every person who reads this; for your prayers and hugs and well-wishes.
From my heart to your world,
Linda
After a visit to our family Doctor, where some thyroid medication prescribed and now started
And a ‘you are going to be fine from now on out’ from the operating Dr.
Terry (although very weak) said: “Enough of this.”
He went out, hooked up the Mormon Creaser, and made a round in the newly planted field.
Every little bit of “desire”, “determination”, and “will” helps propel heal and healing forward.
Thank you, each and every one of you, for your thoughts and prayers. They have worked and are still working.

Things are still dark and miserable.
I want to thank you, each and everyone for your comments, your emails, and your cards.
Please don’t be upset with me if I don’t get you answered back. I am reading everything, but on my phone, and I find it hard to type on such little keys.
Terry is still not doing well. Scary times.

Sunday night a huge wind/potential rainstorm came rolling into our area.
Monday the sky was heavy with low clouds and the air sharp enough to make a person think of January.
The weather people said rain, but (right here) we didn’t see any.
Just smothering dust.
Hopefully, we will start to warm up again. I’m ready for the winter and it’s chill to just be a memory.
🙂

It’s been intense the last several days
Very!
But, after four trips to the Emergency Room,
A three day stay in the hospital
Lots and lots of tests
Finally, the last Doctor called for the right test
The surgeon arrived—the pain conquered.
We are now home.
Healing is the next step.
Home!
Both of us.
The stress level is gone, the despair pulling both of us into an abyss of worry and fear—over!
Thank heavens!
After all the farm, the yard, and my life…all run on Terry. 🙂
