I Know It is a Tad Strange—Wednesday, January 18, 2023

One thing I truly enjoy doing is

Sorting, stacking and creating with firewood.

It is a satisfying feeling that not even a rough wind can knock over my stacks (and I have many stacks)

They are all composed according to size. Perfect for whatever I think I need in the firebox!

Such a bright, scintillating, [sparkling and shiny] feeling this gives me!

🙂

I know. It’s unusual, but it does make me feel good.

The Sounds of Chain Saws in the Air — Monday, January 16, 2023

Bruce came out early one morning to help us with that massive, huge pile of logs.

They worked all through the day, getting that pile down, down, down.

What a gift!

Thank you, Bruce!

The end has come!

Our farm is now cowless and they are enjoying lusher pastures!

Although it is Friday—The Fur Kids are Taking a Break, Instead We Get to See a Rainbow, Friday, January 13, 2023

Dear Linda,
We’ve had so much rain over the past months, here in Auckland New Zealand, but the sun shone yesterday at the end of the day and the rainbow rose out of the sodden land with ease and grace; a welcome surprise. It was so high and large that I could photograph only a portion of it.

I thought of you, and then when I came inside, your latest blog post arrived!

I love your blog and read them all, even though I don’t always comment.

Best wishes,
Juliet
Oh! Juliet!  What a perfect gift!  We have been having lots and lots of long grey days.  To see the green and the rainbow is so uplifting and perfect!

Thank you ever so much!

The far-distant Grand Mesa with

With manifested beauty shining along its flat-top pinnacle.  All due to the setting sun.

What magnificent gifts we are given…you and I.

Saturday We Sat Within a Frozen Cloud — Tuesday, January 10, 2023

Nothing but silence

Generously filling every nook and cranny

Freezing onto eyelashes and animal fur

A cloud sitting on top of us, in way below-freezing temperatures.

(It was lovely)

From Northern Illinois at Christmas Time —- Sunday, January 8, 2022

Sent to me at Christmas time!!! 🙂

This was taken at a park/forest preserve property where I will go to relax and watch trains go by.

Below is a rail car that went by this morning, which was rather interesting:

WOW!  Thank you so much!

That is an amazing Sundog.  We don’t get beauties like that here.

The train car is fun—so many talented people out there!

May 2023 be a wonderful year for you and your family!
