I came, with a camera, stalking a wee little bird resting on a fence post top
The lift of wings, the second I was noticed
Then away, away….up into the tree where I couldn’t see it anymore.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
We finished up hauling all the much-needed soil/dirt
Gradually, the new ditch bank and soon to be farm road started to take place
Blade work with the tractor and shovel work with … the SHOVELS!
Done!
And all the while—keeping the irrigation going. Terry is standing on the new road. Pretty nice!
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
I must announce—-BOOMER IS TRULY BETTER!!! YAY! He slept well, he is breathing much, much better. His nose is the same equal size on both sides and he LOVES HIS FOOD!
Then for the very first time in a very long time, he wanted to GO irrigate!
The wind was terribly strong, but he still wanted me to put him up on the four-wheeler—so, of course, I couldn’t turn him down. 🙂
Then on my FaceBook page, another wonderous gift appeared
“I know you love rainbows.” Cheri Schwartz-Harder wrote. “I had to send you this one from my backyard yesterday.
We had an epic 1 1/2 inches of rain in just a few hours and a thunderstorm that was awesome. Then right before sunset, looking East, this appeared. ❤️”
There is was a flaming magical rainbow over their ranch— filling the whole sky!
Music in the form of a billion little drops of light!
Thank you, ever so much, each and every one of you for caring and being there.
My heart is full.
Your friend,
Linda
Gradually, Boomer is healing. The very strong medication seems to have worked, although, he is still exhibiting some signs of breathing trouble
Now his old bones are refusing to move comfortably—I have something for arthritis, which I hope works
I watch him carefully all the time —trying not to let despair creep into me like an early morning mist
Wait! I said to myself….What is there, right by the tire!?!?
A HEART ROCK!
I picked it up and took it home. When I washed it off I saw that the heart-rock was a tad worse for wear…a series of chips on the corner
A big chip on the other side
Still a gift of love from the Universe to me.
Peace and love and hope and concern are oftentimes fraught with worry,
Boomer and I will take everything one day at a time.
Thank you so much, once more, for all your thoughts, concerns, and prayers. My hope is Boomer Beaglie Brown will get back to his joyful little self; I will do whatever I can to help him get there.
That and pray.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
I must admit, that I have had fear for Boomer’s life riding in waves through my heart
I KNOW he is elderly and the time is growing short, but…
Still…then after beseeching the heavens and My God and Your God and the God of all this world,
I knew I could move forward, because of the medication, Boomer’s will to live, and the fact I asked for the power of collective prayer—peace filled my heart.
Opening my email, another glorious rainbow, from the Black Forest in Colorado…shouted—
Hope!
Thank you, each and every one!
Linda
Through the power of collective prayer, the antibiotics and gifts of hope,
We are starting to see huge improvements with Boomer and his nose
Once more, from this marvelous world of Blog Friends where love, Friendship, and real Hope lives my email opened up to a delightful gift.
Asta sent me a rainbow from Sweden.
Dear Linda, here is a rainbow for you! It was the early evening after a day with rain and humidity. Suddenly the evening sun broke through and was shining on the lakeshore opposite us. And there it was- a perfect end of the rainbow mirroring itself on the water
If you want to publish it is ok-it is your rainbow!
All the best to you, Terry, Boomer, and Mindy!
Asta
Boomer and I, Terry and Mindy are truly blessed by wonderful friends like you!
From my heart to your world,
Linda
What a whirlwind of worry, I have just been through. Things are better (not completely over yet) but better.
I can see an improvement with the little beagle nose…the swelling is down
He is able to sniff with both nostrils now, and the snot is lessening.
Your prayers/the medicine–and Boomer’s desire to get well are all helping. He is still not well, but he IS better! Thank you ever so much!
Then on that golden world we call the earth I found a rock heart
Walking along the next day on the ditch bank…I found another one!
Vadarae sent me a rainbow—a double rainbow filling the sky and her very large farm in Texas.
Just the perfect answers to my sadness and despair—Hope!
Hope— in all of these wonderful and buoyant messages!
You are the very best…each one of you for you do care, and have sent healing prayers to heaven for me and my wonderful little beagle!
From my heart to each of your hearts,
Linda
The wind, ah, the wind, days of hard blowing wind
Ever so necessary to melt all the snow on the Uncompahgre Plateau
And dry up all the mud
Still in the early morning air
The blooms stand straight and tall
Instead of whipped about and leaning.
The sun is bright overhead,
the air warm,
and in the early morning air
you can smell the grass
and earth and
the irrigation water soaking the land;
all the while birds are filling our ears with song.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
