I miss you, My Dixie, my sister of choice.   We have been together since the day we were born.

I first, then in two weeks your birth

A part of me is there with you, wherever you are now.  Just like we were in our earthly life.

But—- sometimes—sometimes I feel you with me.

There in the rush of the wind through the leaves

A faint smell of Iris in the air

Sometimes I hear you laugh, giggle, sounds of joy so pure and delighted I want to reach out and take your hand—once more.

You were Springtime and Autumn–rolled all into one— all the best of feelings

All dolled up into a cute package of laughter and determination.
