Oh! Yes! I do! I do! I do!

Because the corn is in and harvested
And the canal was being eaten away
Terry created a barrier
Then lowered it into the canal
It needed to protect the side by the bridge.
See how the side is being destroyed.
Perfect. Now a little finish work and the road and bridge are protected.
Whew!

Traalalalla—“Let’s go do the chickens with Mom, Boo Berry.”
“Okay, doaky.”
“Bye—I’ve got stuff to do.”
“Not me, I stick to Mom like glue.” Boo Berry Betty replied.
“Works for me.” TLC Cai-Cai hollered as he took off to do whatever it is he liked to do.
“Come on Boo Berry, we’ve got stuff to do. This is a big day.”
Mom scooped me up, put me in the pick-up with Dad and we headed down to —I don’t know where. I can’t see out, and I don’t like to look out.
Then we were there.
And so was a big truck and a HUGE truck Mom called a semi.
Oh!
My!
GOSH!
BIG ANIMALS!
Shudder and shake
“You stay in here, Girly Girl”, Mom said, as she gave me a kiss on the nose. “The cows have come!”
Wow! Those are HUGE ANIMALS!
HUGE!
It wasn’t long before we were heading back to the house.
There I met TLC — “HUGE ANIMALS HAVE ARRIVED ON THE FARM!” I barked at him.
“I know,” he replied. “Cows, they come this time every year. We have to be careful around them and not get kicked.”
“I don’t plan on ever being around them,” I expounded to TLC Cai-Cai. “Those feet are bigger than the both of us!”
“Yep, you are right. Hey, race ya to the house. Whoever gets there first gets to get in first!” TLC took off in a mad dash.
“You can’t beat me!” Boo Berry Betty ran equal to TLC Cai-Cai arriving at the back door at the same time.
“You silly little creatures,” Mom reached down and petted us. “You can’t go in until I open the door.”
As soon as the door was open, TLC ducked under and flew right into the kitchen—Boo Berry right behind him
“What would I do if I didn’t have you crazy cute animals to liven up the day?” Mom laughed as we all tumbled into the kitchen.
“Whew, Boo Berry…thankfully there are no cows in the house!”
“Yes! What a terrible thought that is. But we are safe in here.”

But, one thing I really enjoy the most
And it doesn’t matter what season it happens in
Is when we get fog! 🙂
Momma always told my brother and me, that fog was a cloud that sat down on the earth. What a joyful, and delightful thought it was when I first heard it, to even right now at my very elderly age!

Mom told me once,
“Growing old is hard
Because, if you are not careful
You can start to feel useless”.
“So, remember”, she admonished,
Stay busy.
“Move. Stay interested in life. Which will help you live. At this point of your life, you can not waste time.”
I miss you, Momma and Daddy.
I miss you!
