No Apricots This Year — Wednesday, March 27, 2024

We were experiencing a terrible winter storm….. on Sunday, Monday, and early Tuesday morning.

Temperatures dropped to freezing with windchill at 22*. The wind was sharp, sharp, sharp.

Once more, our year will be incomplete from that lush golden fruit called apricot.

I Saw the Most AMAZING Thing — Tuesday, March 26, 2024

I was out looking at the clouds, enjoying the moment, so to speak

When I SAW

A cluster of clouds that look like a rainbow!

I looked it up and this is what I learned:

A rainbow cloud can occur because of something called cloud iridescence. It usually happens in altocumulus, cirrocumulus, lenticular, and cirrus clouds. Iridescent clouds happen because of diffraction – a phenomenon that occurs when small water droplets or small scatter the sun’s light.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

A Reason for Singing —- Sunday, March 24, 2024

A little early morning gem for you. There was the lightest mist of rain in the air, the sun was coming up behind me, and here was this tiny sliver of bow with just the faintest echo outside it. Sadly the second bow was too pale to register in the photo, but I could see it.
