Two Gifts from Two Friends—Monday, May 22, 2017
Kate from that wondrous land from Down Under sent me this amazing rainbow photo:
She wrote:
After the bad weather over the past few days, we had the most sensational sunset last night, and at one point a small vertical band of rainbow appeared in the east, amongst pink clouds reflecting off the sunset. I jumped out of the car and grabbed a photo with my phone – it hasn’t come out brilliantly, and you can’t really see the cooler end of the spectrum, but I thought you might like it for your collection. There was no bow, just this upright band of rainbow colour…
How lucky I am to see these beautiful rainbows!
Now you are lucky also!
Love,
Linda
An Irish Rainbow—Thursday, January 12, 2017
Erin sent to me (and to you) a wonderful January Rainbow from the Emerald Isle–
Both ends of a rainbow, taken from inside my work building today (hence the window-smut, sorry). I actually was made fun of for taking these pictures, until I told them they were for a friend who collected rainbows from all over the world. This one is Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, Ireland.
No snow here, as you can see!
💚
What a joy! Thank you so much, Erin!
Love,
Linda
Fall’s Cooling Touch—-Monday, September 26, 2016
The summer air has been cooled; then cooled again, from rain storms, which either move gently over us, or violent with thrashing winds and wicked electric storms.
Saturday we went with jeeping friends on a leisure ride, to Silverjack Reservoir and over Owl Creek Pass.
The magic light of the forest mingling, with the rain, did not diminish the colors
The aspens, scrub oak and dark green of the pines glowed, lighting up the drizzly day
Silverjack Reservoir area was just beautiful
We met the purity of snow, on the top of Owl Creek Pass
Then down we went to the other side. The brilliant colors a joy to our eyes
The last bit of wonder, before we turned toward home.
From my world to your heart!

When Time Is Still—-Sunday, August 28, 2016
There is a time, within each day, when time seems to stand still
That point when everything waits— for just that moment, that pure moment of breathlessness
When the sun breaks forth into a new day
The joy reverberating clear into our blood.
Then the minutes and hours of the day takes over —with lists of ‘things to do’ and ‘stuff to get done’ and the people ‘who need’
But, If we just stop and look we can have that moment of balance we all crave…
Gradually time slows
And all those things that thronged our seconds, minutes and hours become still… For just a moment.
Then the night rises up to claim it’s fair share of time.
From my world to your heart,
Linda
The Only Way to Live—-Sunday, August 14, 2016
Calmness Taps me Softly—-Wednesday, August 10, 2016
Coming in from the early morning irrigation…it was like looking into a dream–
A light summer rain moving away from us, fingers of light splashing across the fields, stroking the Uncompahgre Plateau…the air thick with ozone, the sky it’s very own arch of prism light.
Bird song filling the air, drowning out everything, but my pulse.
The earth, the sky, plants and water surrounding me — touching me gently.
How blessed I am!
From my world to your heart!
Linda

Our Morning Air was Filled with Angels—Thursday, July 21, 2016
It Rained Off and On —- Tuesday, June 14, 2016
It rained off and on all day and well into the evening yesterday. Bringing with it a chilly cool down. (Although, it didn’t stop the boys once, or even slow them down on what they were doing.)
Heading into to town to take them to the Rec Center for swimming and basketball
We saw a wonderful site in the sky
Since I was driving Bladen took these for me. He knows how much I love collecting rainbows.
Love,
Linda
