My Tiny Feathered Friends—Wednesday, May 13, 2015

HummingOne thing I am not is a very good photographer of Hummingbirds!

Although, this can sorta give you an idea of the cute little things as they hum and buzz around the feeders.  I don’t have all my feeders out right now, only six, but I think I have arrived at a place whereby I can add a couple more.

It sure is a joyful sound having those little birds buzz over your head as you are weeding.  Makes me laugh out loud, and even duck a few times.

My “Some Day I’ll” list has right at the top of it:

1. Take a good photo of a hummingbird.

Maybe this year I’ll make that wish come true.

I hope your day is full of joy and happiness!

Your friend,

  1. Thanks for sharing your friends….we have a few but don’t have feeders up yet but my neighbor lady does. They are buzzing all around even trying to get nectar from my artificial flowers. I have lots of flowers blooming for them especially the honeysuckle they love. As you age and get tired its just more chores to do. My iris, lilac, columbine and clematis are all blooming for the bees and hummies. You have a big crowd….

PS… I don’t know why my IPad keeps dropping capital letters In to my comments all the time.

  3. Those “hummers” are sure small but at least they can amuse you
whilst weeding besides the ” ducking” for cover antics!

As Autumn comes to a close at the end of the month, the mornings
have in the last week become quite brisk but thankfully the days
are warm and sunny – not quite what I would call beach weather though.
I am already dreading winter and especially bloody August in advance.
Mental preparedness I call it but then I read your winter reports and
stop whinning as I deduct from our temperature what the Colorado
    temperature would be – Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!
The sunny aspect as shown in the photo would suggest that all
is going well for the corn plants – sure hope so and that the sprouting
    is coming along well.
Cheers – enjoy the amusement whilst weeding.
