We were heading out for the last check of the day.
Which took a wee bit longer than normal, because of a plugged headgate,
So coming back was much later
But still stunningly beautiful–moon, clouds, and fox!
From my world to your heart,
Linda
Dad is planting corn,
He got it all planted
Then he went out and knocked down the rows
Now Dad and Mom wait
( of course, they don’t sit and wait)
After the corn gets a tiny sprout
They will start the water on the cornrows
Soon the tiny seeds will make
BABY corn PLANTS!
As for me—I am busy keeping the farmyard
SAFE!
The dust has been building for a long-time
The wind picking it up and flinging the tiny bits of soil here and there
In all directions
But Monday
The rains came
Big dark clouds, with light misting of rain on our farm (heavy rains in other parts of our area)
Beautiful phenomenon blessing the land, settling the dust
Creating a warm mist in the air
Freshening the earth, all over again.
Your friend on a western Colorado farm,
Linda
We had rain. Just a wee bit. 🙂

Gradually the rain left— rippling showers along the hillsides and valley’s
The rain chutes were bright and colorfully dazzling along the curve of the world
Still, the birds continued singing as the daily chores were accomplished
Taking myself and the camera out and about I decided to see how the apple trees were fairing
The blooms were marvelous, although the scent was rather watered down 🙂
Today the air is warm, I have the windows open and the yard is lush and green
How wonderful the world is after the rain!
From my world to your heart,
Linda
One thing I am not is a very good photographer of Hummingbirds!
Although, this can sorta give you an idea of the cute little things as they hum and buzz around the feeders. I don’t have all my feeders out right now, only six, but I think I have arrived at a place whereby I can add a couple more.
It sure is a joyful sound having those little birds buzz over your head as you are weeding. Makes me laugh out loud, and even duck a few times.
My “Some Day I’ll” list has right at the top of it:
1. Take a good photo of a hummingbird.
Maybe this year I’ll make that wish come true.
I hope your day is full of joy and happiness!
Your friend,
Linda
